Trudi and Adam are founders of a family-run luxury motorhome hire company in Leicestershire
As featured on Channel 5’s Million Pound Motorhomes, Hey Campers is a luxury motorhome hire company in Leicestershire, started by Trudi and Adam Lilley – who you might recognise from series 2 of the show.
For them, a love of camping began with their very first caravan, a 20-year-old Swift tourer. The couple then moved on to motorhomes and never looked back.
The great outdoors has so much to offer and they want to help you explore it. With Hey Campers it really couldn’t be easier.
Adam Lilley – Co-Founder
Trudi and I moved from Guernsey, where I’d always lived, to the UK in 2016. I missed having a boat to explore, so we decided to buy a caravan to see a bit more of the UK – and from caravans came motorhomes!
I’m a big motorsport and golf fan and like to be active and busy. We’ve always made regular trips to sporting events, but when we started going in our motorhome it was even more exciting. We still try to get as many in as we can, including our annual four-day trip to Silverstone for the Formula 1.
I love to be outside and exploring new places and this is where my passion for motor homing came from. The great outdoors in luxurious surroundings and a luxurious motorhome, what more could anyone want?
Favourite locations include Jersey, Isle of Wight, Stratford for a quick weekend away, and the Three Rivers campsite in Norfolk.
I still have a hankering for the coast, and as part of our ambition to become the UK’s first luxury staycation provider, we hope we can add chartered boats to our list of experiences – watch this space!
Trudi Lilley – Co-Founder
Adam and I have been married for 11 years, meeting in Guernsey, where I moved to start a new life after losing my job in the financial recession of 2008.
Having run an accountancy business with Adam for many years, we decided to make our love of motor homing into a business and Hey Campers was born. We love just packing up and setting off for a weekend at a moment’s notice and we have many new destinations on our list for this year, including the Lake District and hopefully the Scottish North Coast 500.
My favourite place for a quick weekend is definitely Derbyshire, as I love the walking and scenery and it’s not too far from home.
Kerry Williams – General Manager
Kerry looks after all aspects of daily life at Hey Campers.
Kerry loves exploring the outdoors with her children and enjoys new outdoor challenges and loves adventure, that’s why she joined Hey Campers.
Kevin Wright – Maintenance
Kevin is part of our maintenance team. Being a keen motorcyclist and an all round tinkerer Kevin is kept very busy maintaining our fleet.
Also interested in photography, so when not at work or on his bike you’ll find him behind his camera looking for the perfect shot.
